I have corns on my feet and
would like to know if there is a cheap way to get rid of them?
Corns and calluses generally occur when there repetitive friction on the soles of the feet or hands. This is often due to ill fitting wearing shoes, and not wearing protective pads. Almost 90% of the population develops corns and calluses at some point in their lives. In most cases, corns and calluses cause no problems, except making the feet/hands look darn ugly. There are many treatment for corns and calluses, but perhaps the best is trimming. Many spas and salons offer trimming of the thickened skin. This is usually done with a sharp blade.
If you do not have the money to go to spa, you can buy friction paper, nail file or smoothing pumice stone and do the trimming yourself. The best time to trim the thick skin is right after a warm shower or bath. Perhaps you can get your partner, friend or colleague to perform the trimming and then you can return the favor.
