Old medications-throw them away!

I have some old antidepressants in my closet. Is it safe to take them?

Pills usually have a shelf life of about 2 years. The problem with old pills is not safety but their effectiveness. Most medicines loses their effectiveness with time. So if you have old pills and do not have money to buy new ones, I see no reason why you can’t use these and see what happens.

If you fail to see a response, then perhaps you can get a new prescription.

Pharmacists (most have very little common sense) are in the business to make money and will of course, tell you all kinds of BS. You certainly should not be throwing away pills that are only a few months old. I would take them as prescribed.
