Wrong dose of morphine

Recently I was given an incorrect prescription of morphine by the doctor of nearly 10 times the regular dose. Is someone at fault?

Sure, the first person is the doctor and the second one is the pharmacist. The pharmacist should have noticed the erroneous dose and should have called the doctor. Unfortunately, it you survived, then your damages are limited. However, they will be required to pay for all the costs that you incurred. I would sue the hospital as well, for hiring such morons.

Lesson-change your doctor and every time you get a prescription, read the dose and check it online to make sure it is correct or speak to a nurse.
